Stitches Of Love—Hidden Meanings Childrens Clothing and Accessories

  This exhibition was held by The Puppet Manchukuo Palace Museum together with Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen’s Mansion Memorial Hall, selecting for more than 80 Chinese children's costumes in the early 19th century. The exhibit contains many different types of children's clothing. The main line in this exhibition is auspicious pattern, and there are five parts, including "one hundred children's story", " lucky beasts' praying for auspicious", "secrets between flowers and fruits", "gods' protection and blessing" and " drama allusion" . The exhibition interprets the story and meaning by deeply studying the content on the patterns. Most of the children's clothes patterns on display are birds, beasts and flowers that symbolize auspiciousness, as well as myths, legends, historical allusions and drama characters. The beauty of traditional clothes is showed through the exquisite patterns that symbolize auspiciousness.

  This is the first time that the exhibits of the Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen’s Mansion Memorial Hall have been exhibited in Jilin Province It is a rare opportunity to learn about the old fashion of children's clothing and experience the traditional Chinese culture of welcoming prosperity and blessing.
